Visit our artist salon on Saturday May 11th and/or Sunday May 12th from noon to 6pm. Why not allow Harlem to be your playground by visiting one of our nearby dining venues. The local fare around the Gadson Gallery is rich with variety and they are ready to celebrate the ladies that you love.

Flowers for the Lady?

Mother’s Day salutes are not complete without flowers. We love Barbara’s Flowers right around the corner at 2522 Frederick Douglass blvd. The fabulous Tara Simone is the shop’s proprietor which is named after her mother. I remember when Ms Barbara would direct things from her stationary motorized wheelchair! She will be celebrating this mother’s day with the angels and Tara will surely salute her with husband and 2 little ones by her side. Though the shop is often busy flowering major events every holiday they make sure to have ready made bouquets for the sidewalk traffic and her lovely staff will not hesitate to meet your budget or aesthetic needs.
